Strange delicasies abound in Africa

There is no shortage of strange things on the menus at traditional African restaurants wherever we go. Like these mopane worms at Gramadoelas for instance!

But this was a new one on us. In the Van Zylrus Hotel dining room, they had lambs' tails on the menu as a local appetizer specialty.

Vince -  who is always up for a dining challenge - tried them. He declared them very tender and delicious ... but I couldn't get past the obvious taboo. Lambs' tails indeed!
