Kruger ... the first 15 minutes

Jonnie and I drove with our new friend Gardiol to Lower Sabie in Kruger National Park first and foremost for the three of us to participate in SH2015 Gaza Gray, an archaeological excavation to uncover artifacts in a former outpost of the Anglo-Boer War. But as we soon found out, any drive in Kruger quickly becomes a safari game drive.

In the first 15 minutes after we entered the gates, we saw a land tortoise, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, a blue heron, zebra, a rhino, buffalo, impala, wildebeests, warthogs, a saddle-billed stork, baboons, vervet monkeys, kudu and three cheetahs!

not just one ...

not just two ...

  2. It was amazing - and we had an expert game spotter (and driver) in Gardiol. Such luck!
