Kariega Journal: Team Awesome and Team Awesomer

I had the pleasure to work with a great group of committed and enthusiastic volunteers at Kariega. Most were vet nurses or animal managers from the UK. There was a zookeeper who is about to embark on a year in the Kalahari to do game management and one vet nurse is changing careers and continents to become a game ranger in South Africa. Team Awesome and Team Awesomer! Even our Volunteer Leader Azel will be going from being a game ranger to a rescue helicopter pilot to save poached and injured wildlife in the reserves. Inspirational!
