Oakes Brew House describes itself as South Africa's first "all-girl" brewery. For good reason. The beer is brewed by a young woman named Happy Sekanka who is originally from a township in South Africa’s northern Limpopo province .
We visited.
First we tasted. There were four different beers on tap that day. An
Easy Blonde, an Ale, a Butt Stout and a Wise Beer.

Then we ate. The restaurant features Portugeuse specialties.

Happy says she’s “in love” with the art of making beer. We are happy too.
