Turtle trails

Loggerhead turtles use all four of its "legs" to pull itself up out of the sea and into the high dunes. Their trails are pretty straight and even.
Leatherbacks on the other hand can only use their front arms to drag themselves up. Their legs are more like fins than wings and cannot really dig into the sand. They have to shift their weight back and forth as they make their way up the sand. As a result their trails are wider and the sand is more violently displaced.
