Known as the “place of quiet” Ukutula Lodge is nestled in lush bushveld northwest of Johannesburg. My sister and I went there to walk with lions. Yes you heard it right. Walk. With. Lions.
Just like walking with Lou & Serge - or in my sister's case, Kiwi and Chinook. Except they are lions instead of dogs. It was pretty darn cool!
After our hour long walk, we stayed on for some lion interaction. First with some adorable cubs ...
Then we moved in with some "devils." These teenagers are too old to be held but we did get to pet and observe them. We were secretly glad because it had rained early that morning and they were pretty muddy!
