HNY from the International Space Station

We got a Happy New Year "shout-out" from the International Space Station which passed over Cape Town on New Year's Eve! It looked like a bright, slowly moving star traveling up and left out of the west and we could see it quite clearly from the roof top of our apartment despite the fairly bright moon.  

I hope they enjoyed the fireworks that followed. We sure did!
