We have not had rain here at Valley Lodge since April!
No matter how much Clement and I water the garden, it never seems like enough. I do not know how Johannesburg blooms so magnificently in the spring without its equivalent of the west's April showers.
Finally. Today. Lightning. Thunder. Drenching rain.
I stood outside in the downpour. The complete opposite of Ray Bradbury's short story, All Summer in a Day.
It felt wonderful! It smelt wonderful! Rain! Glorious Rain!
the lightning shows over Sandton are famous! |
