Dung. Scat. Droppings. Spoor. Guano. These topics become very important on safari. Especially on walking safaris which we did every morning in Thula Thula.

We saw dung beetles rolling balls out of elephant dung.

And some of us (certainly not me) played an unusual game with springbok scat.

Here's how you play. First you mark the target line.

Then you put a scat ball in your mouth (!) and spit it as far as you can. Whosever's projectile lands the furthest wins.
