Before we watched the World Cup match-up between the Eagles and the Springboks.

We didn't expect the USA to actually win the match. We're not Japan! But score a try or at least a penalty shot? Yeah, we kinda did. (Full disclosure: Vince picked the Boks in his SuperBru rugby pool. He may be a patriot, but he's not stupid!)

Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The final score, Springboks: 64 - Eagles: 0.

The American Society of South Africa (ASSA) at the Hogshead, Douglasdale

The biggest loser of the night though was the "shot girl." We had promised to buy a Springbok shot (Amarula and Crème De Menthe) every time the USA scored. The only one who scored a shot all night was Brad, the South African husband of the American President of the ASSA.
