Sunday in the Park with Jazz

Well not a park really as much as the park-like setting at the Restaurant at Ten Bompas. But it was a Sunday and it was jazz. We joined friends on this gloriously sunny Sunday afternoon to hear the Radium Jazz Band, a trio of bass, drums and piano, perform while we wined and dined al fresco.

We have been wanting to get to The Radium Beerhall in Orange Grove to hear their resident jazz trio since we landed in Joburg, but somehow we have not been able to make it happen for this regular Friday night gig.  The Radium Beerhall is the oldest surviving bar and grill in Johannesburg and their Friday jazz night is legendary and a must-do for any jazz fan. They were awesome! Now we have even more incentive to make it happen.
