African Parks head office staff will don their walking shoes to join marchers in the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos in Johannesburg on 4 October, one of more than 120 marches taking place in over 40 countries on the day to raise global awareness of the poaching crisis and to pressure governments into passing and enforcing laws that protect wildlife and ending the illegal wildlife trade. Teams of marchers from our African Parks administrative offices in New York and Amsterdam will join the march in their respective cities as well.
At the same time, the seven parks that African Parks manages in six African countries in conjunction with its Government partners will also be walking the walk, physically or virtually, in their parks in support of the initiative on the day. Follow all of them on the African Parks and park-specific Facebook pages as we put our boots on the ground in support of African wildlife.
