Getting the tires ready for the dunes

Stretching 1,200 miles along the Atlantic and covering roughly 10 million acres of desert and buffer zone, the otherworldly Namib Sand Sea is the oldest desert in the world and is almost completely uninhabited by humans.

You can get pretty far into the Namib-Naukluft Park with a regular vehicle, but if you want to get all the way out to the Big Daddy Dune and Deadvlei, you will need a 4X4. We had one!

You park in the 2X2 parking lot and you set about deflating your tires for the ride.
