All around the Johannesburg CBD are sidewalks inlaid with intricate mosaics. Many are just decorative designs, but many others also tell the story of Johannesburg and South Africa in tile. It breaks my heart to see so much of it broken up and destroyed by vandals.

I picked up a couple of tiles that had been completely removed from their cement frame, cast aside and lying in the dirt. Including a literally broken heart. I will frame them and give them the respect they deserve.
