Christmas. In the malls, in the stores, on radio and television commercials. Signs of the Christmas season seem to appear earlier and earlier every year.

Well America, I am happy to report that you are not alone with this autumnal encroachment trend. When I arrived at Joburg's O.R. Tambo Airport this weekend, I found the airport was already decorated for Christmas. The Malls too.

Of course we already had Christmas in July here in South Africa this summer winter so it could be worse. We could have just started decorating in July and kept them up until Christmas.
