Teams Alvimedica and SCA

I'm rooting for two teams in the Volvo Ocean Race - Team  SCA and Team Alvimedica. Team SCA is the first all female team since 2001-2002. The skipper Sam Davies is British but there are quite a few Americans in the crew.

Team Alvimedica is the youngest team in the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015. The US/Turkish team is led by skipper Charlie Enright from Bristol RI and they too have a number of Americans on board.

Team Alvimedica were in fifth place when they arrived in Cape Town. Team SCA beat out Team Malpre in an exciting finish to come in sixth after the first leg.
