Volvo Ocean Race Village

The Volvo Ocean Race Village in Cape Town officially opened on November 1 in anticipation of the boats' arrivals the following week. Located along two wharfs on the V&A Waterfront, the village had shops, displays, staged experiences and activities, sponsorship tents and a cinema and show theatre. There was a floating dock set up for the teams to berth their boats and along the breakwater, there were accommodations for the sailors.

It was a great place to visit during the time the boats were in port.
