Rosella

Rooibos may be king in Southern Africa, but the tea of choice in Tanzania as well as much of West, East and North Africa is hibiscus hip or Rosella.

Nicknamed "Sudan Tea," it is a sweet pleasant drink served cold to welcome visitors upon arrival, after a game drive and at breakfast. It is delicious!

And I purchased some at the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge to bring back to Valley Lodge in South Africa.
