Everyone was so nice and friendly, welcoming and sincere. Even when they were bad at whatever it is they were doing - or inept or ineffectual or just plain not knowledgeable - you couldn't get mad at them. They were so just so darn pleasant and cheerful.
We kept remarking about the phenomenon all throughout the trip. You would walk away from a shop counter totally unsatisfied or an information booth still uniformed, but you'd walk away smiling.
It was very weird sensation. It felt like love.
