Sugar 'n Spice 'n Everything Nice

Every evening in Stone Town, the patios in front of the Forodhani Gardens downtown turn into a nighttime food market. Vince loves street food! So of course we had to go check it out.

There are dozens of stalls, selling everything from fish skewers to spicy soup to mango slices dusted with chile salt.

And the local specialty, Zanzibari pizza.

More like a fried calzone than a baked pizza, they are made with a mind-boggling array of ingredients.











We must try this at home!

And for dessert, how about something sweet? Like a cold drink made with freshly squeezed sugar cane? Nice.
